At 6:46am this morning (10th) Magpas Doctor Daniel Sedgewick and Paramedic Kier Rutherford arrived in Peterborough via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had gone into cardiac arrest.
Fortunately, when the Magpas enhanced medical team arrived an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were providing the man (in his 70's) with advanced life support. The Magpas doctor-paramedic team then placed the man into a medically induced coma at the scene (providing him with A&E level care) before accompanying him to Peterborough City Hospital via land ambulance. The patient was in a critical condition upon arrival.
