Magpas Air Ambulance in flight

At 8:22am this morning (22nd) Magpas Doctor Scott Knapp and Paramedic Alex Pearce landed in March via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had gone into cardiac arrest.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 50's) and placed him into a medically induced coma at the scene (providing him with A&E level care there and then). The doctor-paramedic team then accompanied the man to Peterborough City Hospital via land ambulance. He was in a critical condition upon arrival.

The Magpas helicopter crew, who flew the medical team, were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember George Phillips.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
