Magpas-Air-Ambulance-in-flight

At 3:31pm yesterday afternoon (8th) Magpas Doctor Alistair Steel and Paramedic Steve Chambers landed in Doddington via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Fortunately when the Magpas enhanced medical team arrived, bystanders were administering CPR. The Magpas Doctor-Paramedic team assessed the patient (in his 50's) and placed him into a medically induced coma at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). They then accompanied the man to Papworth Hospital via land ambulance, where he was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew, who flew the medical team, were Pilot Matt Tacon and Crewmember George Phillips.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Cambrdgeshire Police were also in attendance.
