CARE QUALITY COMMISSION REPORTS
Clinical governance is about maintaining the quality, accountability, responsibility, safety and excellence of the service we provide.
These are fundamental to our mission to deliver the best 24/7 pre-hospital emergency medical service to our patients.
In 2007 Magpas Air Ambulance became the first independent pre-hospital care service in the UK to voluntarily register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. They inspect services to make sure they provide patients with safe, high quality care.
Magpas Air Ambulance was last inspected in February 2018; the Care Quality Commission deemed our service to be outstanding and required no improvement in any areas. The CQC’s full inspection report (PDF) is available to read publicly.

Management of patient data is something we take very seriously at Magpas Air ambulance and we have strict processes in place to ensure confidentially of any information we gather as part of a patient’s record.
