Rod is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals. He has been a volunteer with Magpas since 1996. He became the Medical Director of Magpas in 2000 and was responsible for the development of the emergency medical team training programme and the development of Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine as a recognised sub-specialist area of clinical practice. He has been at the forefront of training and development within pre-hospital care for over 20 years. Rod is also the Clinical Director of the East of England Major Trauma Centre at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Chair of the Intercollegiate Board for Training in Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine.
