Waitrose of St Neots have raised £460 for Magpas Helimedix through their community matters programme, with the charity being nominated as one of February’s causes to support. The branch donates £1,000 every month to local charities, voted for by customers as part of the green token scheme.

The money raised will go towards Magpas’s lifesaving service.

Debbie Florence, Head of Fundraising at Magpas, says, “We’d like to thank St Neots Waitrose and all the Waitrose shoppers who took the time to vote for Magpas. It makes a huge difference to have support from those who live locally and across the region. The funds raised will help us to continue to provide A&E care for patients, by land and by air, at the scene of serious medical emergencies. Supporting the Ambulance Service, our enhanced medics (many of whom volunteer their own time to work with us), are dispatched to cases of life-threatening illness and injuries, saving lives in the East of England and beyond.”
