Arts and crafts store Krafty Kats has donated its prize money from a Best Dressed Christmas Window contest in 2014, to air ambulance charity Magpas.

The creative shop, which has been running for 14 years, entered into the festive competition organised by the Huntingdon Town Council and was awarded second place, along with a cash prize of £50.

Krafty Kats, based on Huntingdon’s High Street, handed over the cheque last week to Magpas CEO and Huntingdon’s Deputy Mayor, Daryl Brown.

Leeanda, co-owner of the shop, said, “It feels great to have donated our prize winnings to Magpas. We chose the charity because it’s local and they do a brilliant job.”

Daryl Brown added, “We’re very grateful to Krafty Kats for donating the money to Magpas. Local support like theirs is crucial in helping us continue to provide lifesaving care by land and air, 24/7, to patients in life-threatening emergencies.”

The Best Dressed Window Competition will be running again this Christmas, with judging taking place in early December, so get decorating!
