Peterborough, man injured in gardening incident - Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 10.15am this morning (16th), Magpas Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Dan Cody landed in Peterborough, via the Magpas air ambulance, to treat a man injured in a gardening incident involving a digger.

The Magpas medical team assessed the man (in his 60s), who had sustained an injury to his foot. The patient was given advanced pain relief (providing him with A&E level care at the scene) and sedated. He was then accompanied by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The patient was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Steve Wood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

Cambridgeshire Police, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service and an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
