Northampton, woman injured in equestrian incident - Magpas Air Ambulance flies to her

At 5:50pm yesterday evening (27th), Magpas Doctor Richard Booker and Paramedic Steve Chambers landed in a rural part of Northampton, via the Magpas air ambulance. They were called by EMAS Ambulance Service to treat a woman who had fallen from a horse and was lying in a field.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 40’s), who had suffered suspected serious injuries to her body. They gave her advanced pain relief (providing A&E level care at the scene), before flying her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Upon arrival, the woman was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter crew who flew the patient and the medical team were Magpas Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

Romford, woman injured in horse riding incident – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

At 4:51pm yesterday afternoon (1st) Magpas Doctor Tom Odbert and Paramedics Dan Read and Dan Cody flew to Romford, Essex via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They were called by the EEAST Ambulance Service to treat a woman who had been injured in a fall from a horse.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 30’s) who had sustained a lower back injury. They provided the woman with pain relief before she was taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford by an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew in a stable condition.

The Magpas helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Paul Nolan and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

Nr Boston, girl injured in equestrian incident - Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 3.11pm on Sunday afternoon (24th), Magpas Doctor Sophia De Maria and Paramedic Ollie Robinson landed near Boston, via the air ambulance, to treat a girl who had fallen from a horse.

The Magpas team assessed the girl, who had sustained a pelvic injury. They gave her advanced pain relief (providing advanced A&E level care at the scene) and put measures in place to protect her injuries. The patient was then flown to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The Helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

EMAS Ambulance Service were also in attendance.

At 8.47am this morning (5th), Magpas Doctor Rupert Hurry and Paramedic Chris Hawkins landed in Newmarket via the air ambulance to treat a female rider injured in a fall from a horse.

The Magpas team assessed the girl (in her teens) who had sustained leg injuries. The EEAST Ambulance Service then took the patient by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The Helicopter crew who flew the medical team to the scene were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Dan Vickers.

Bedford, woman injured in equestrian incident – Magpas flies to her

At 2.10pm on Sunday afternoon (6th), Magpas Doctor Dave Leverton and Paramedic Dan Read landed in Bedford via the air ambulance to treat a woman thrown from a horse.

The Magpas team assessed the woman (in her 20s) who had suffered a back injury. The patient was given pain relief before being flown to Luton and Dunstable Hospital where she was in a stable condition on arrival.

EEAST Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
