At 12:58pm yesterday afternoon (11th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Foster and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived at the A14 near Keyston, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance - after a road traffic collision involving three cars.
The Magpas team assessed a woman (in her 40’s) who suffered head injuries. The Helimedix treated the patient, before she was taken to Kettering Hospital, in a stable condition, by land ambulance. Two EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic crews and an EMAS Ambulance Service Rapid Response Paramedic also assessed a small number of other patients at the scene. Fortunately no one involved in this incident suffered life-threatening injuries.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.
A Fire & Rescue Service Crew and the Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
