Baby girl delivered outside Magpas Helimedix Base!

At 6:13pm last night (18th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Alex Cross, Paramedic Simon Standen and Doctor Vijayasankar) were called to literally just outside the Magpas Helimedix Operations Base in Huntingdon!

A woman (in her 30’s) was being driven to hospital from Manea by her husband, after experiencing contractions. The Helimedix helped deliver the baby in the back of a land ambulance, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew. Everything went well and shortly afterwards the new mum, dad and baby girl were accompanied to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

The Magpas Helimedix would especially like to thank the EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedics and a midwife from Hinchingbrooke (who arrived just after the delivery) for their excellent team work.
