Peterborough, man goes into cardiac arrest at football match - Magpas Air Ambulance called to the scene

At 9.14pm on Tuesday evening (18th), Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldane and Paramedic Dan Phillips arrived in Peterborough via a rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had gone into cardiac arrest at a football match in central Peterborough.

The Magpas medical team anaesthetised the man (in his 50s) at the scene, providing him with care usually only available in hospital.

The team accompanied him by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital, where he was in a critical condition upon arrival.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
