A14 Newmarket, 2x lorry collision - Magpas Air Ambulance called to the scene

At 7.29am this morning (12th) Magpas Doctor Lee Soomaroo and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived at the A14 near Newmarket via a rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man injured in a collision between two lorries.

The Magpas medical team assessed the man (in his 40s) who had sustained serious abdominal injuries. They provided the patient with advanced pain relief and assisted in extricating him from the vehicle. They then accompanied him by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and Suffolk Police were also in attendance.
