At 11:16pm last night (28th) Magpas Doctor Sam Todd and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in a multi-vehicle collision.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 30’s) who had sustained serious leg injuries. They gave the man advanced pain relief and put measures in place to protect his injuries (providing him with A&E level care at the scene) before accompanying him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital via land ambulance. The patient was in a stable condition upon arrival.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew, Cambridgeshire Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
