Wittering woman thrown from horse – Magpas Helimedix fly to her
At 1:42pm on Saturday afternoon (13th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Peter Holden and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived at a track in the Wittering area, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a woman (in her 40’s) was thrown from a horse and lost consciousness.
The Magpas team assessed the patient, who had regained consciousness, but suffered head and rib injuries. She was then taken to Peterborough City Hospital in a non-life-threatening condition, via land ambulance, by an EEAST Ambulance Crew who were also at the scene.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Andy Figg and Crew Member George Phillips.
A private ambulance crew was also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
