At 15:38pm yesterday afternoon (22nd) Magpas Doctor Scott Castell and Paramedic Dan Read landed in Wittering via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a woman who had been seriously injured in a single vehicle collision.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 40’s) who had sustained multiple injuries and sedated her at the scene (providing her with A&E level care). They then accompanied the patient to Peterborough City Hospital, monitoring her condition the whole way. She was in a very serious but stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Simon Amos.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew, Cambridgeshire Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
