Wisbech man suffers fall from scaffolding – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 2:17pm this afternoon, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor David Driver and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived at a building site in Wisbech, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A man (in his 70’s) suffered a 10 foot fall from some scaffolding and suffered chest injuries.

The Magpas team worked alongside EEAST Ambulance Crews to assess the patient, before moving the man safely into a Land Ambulance. The Helimedix then accompanied the man to King’s Lynn Hospital, by land, continuing to administer pain relief en route. On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.

An EEAST Ambulance Officer and Rapid Response Paramedic were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.

This is all the information we have at present.
