At 12:34pm on Saturday afternoon (9th), Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldane and Paramedic Oliver Robinson landed in a location, north of Wisbech, via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured after falling from some scaffolding onto some iron girders.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the man (in his 50’s) who had sustained a head injury and administered advanced pain relief (providing him with A&E level care). The Magpas Air Ambulance doctor and paramedic then flew the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, monitoring his condition all the way. The man was in a very serious but stable condition upon arrival.

The Magpas Air Ambulance helicopter crew who flew the Magpas medical team and patient were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Rob Davies.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.

We have no further information at this time.
