At 11.34pm last night (22nd), Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldan and Paramedic Ollie Robinson arrived in Wisbech via a rapid response vehicle. They had been called by EEAST Ambulance Service to treat two men injured when the car they were travelling in left the road and entered a ditch.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed one man (in his 20s) who was trapped inside the vehicle and had sustained a serious leg injury. They provided him with pain relief and assisted the Fire Service in extricating him from the vehicle. They then accompanied him by land ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn.

Another man (in his 30s) was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew.

Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
