Whittlesey man suffers serious arm injuries – Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance attends
At 11:24am this morning, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Tristan Dyer and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived in the Whittlesey area, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A man (in his 30’s) suffered life changing arm injuries at a factory.
The Magpas team put specialist A&E level measures into place to stabilise the patient’s condition, whilst working alongside the EEAST Ambulance Crew at the scene. The Helimedix then accompanied the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in the land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.
Two EEAST Ambulance Crews, an EEAST Rapid Response Paramedic and the Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
