Thorney, car upside down in ditch – Magpas Helimedix called out
At 9:15pm last night (23rd), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Alex Cross and Paramedic Ash Richardson) arrived near the A47 in the Thorney area, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after a road traffic collision, leaving a car upside down in a ditch.
The Magpas team assessed a woman (in her 60’s) who was trapped inside the vehicle and was suffering neck and stomach pain. After giving the patient some fluids, the Helimedix worked alongside a Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Crew to get her safely out of the car. The woman was subsequently taken, in a stable condition, to Peterborough City Hospital by land ambulance.
An EEAST Ambulance Paramedic Crew were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
