St Neots man goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix called out
At 6:32pm last night (14th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Alex Pearce) arrived in a residential area to the north of St Neots, via the Magpas Helimedix Rapid Response BMW – after a man (in his 60’s) went into cardiac arrest.
The Magpas team worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew and Rapid Response Paramedic at the scene to provide advanced life support for the patient. Having successfully resuscitated the man, the Helimedix then anesthetised him (giving him specialist A&E level care). The Magpas team then accompanied the patient to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by land ambulance (monitoring him all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a serious condition.
All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
