St Albans, car and motor caravan collision – Magpas called to scene
At 3.18am this morning (20th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Zoe Smeed and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived in St Albans via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW, following a road traffic collision involving a car and a motor caravan.
The Helimedix assessed a man (in his late teens) who had suffered multiple injuries. The Magpas team anaesthetised the patient (providing him with specialist A&E care on the scene), before accompanying him initially to Watford General Hospital by land ambulance, and then on to St Mary’s Hospital in Westminster for further treatment. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a critical condition.
EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews, Fire and Rescue Services, the Police, and a Basics Doctor were also on the scene.
The Magpas team would like to thank all the emergency services for their excellent team work.
