Spalding, woman falls from horse – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 1.35pm today (8th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Ali Hieatt and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived in the Spalding area via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after a woman (in her 40’s) had fallen from a horse.

The Helimedix assessed the patient who had suffered suspected pelvic injuries. The Magpas team provided the woman with pain relief, before flying her to Peterborough City Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene/the Helimedix and the patient to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew were also on the scene.
