At 8:05pm on Thursday night (6th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Alex Pearce) arrived at the B655 in the Hitchin area, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW. A car had left the road and collided with an embankment, leaving a woman (in her 20’s) trapped inside the vehicle.
The Magpas team assessed the patient who suffered head and leg injuries. The Helimedix worked alongside a Fire & Rescue Crew and an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew to get the patient safely out of the car. The woman was then taken to Lister Hospital in a stable condition, by land ambulance.
The Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
This is all the information we have at present.
