Peterborough woman suffers escalator fall – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 10:50am this morning, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor David Driver and Paramedic Sally Boor) arrived at a shopping centre in central Peterborough, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A woman (in her 70’s) suffered a fall whilst she was on an escalator and endured wrist injuries.
The Magpas team administered pain relief, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew – who were first on the scene and had already given the patient a full assessment. The woman was then taken to Peterborough City Hospital in a stable condition, via a Land Ambulance.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Adam Bright.
All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
