Peterborough, woman suffers collapse – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 11.10am this morning (22nd) Magpas Doctor Richard Booker and Paramedic Dan Read landed in Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a woman who had collapsed.

The Magpas medical team assessed the woman (in her 30s) and gave her a general anaesthetic at the scene (providing her with A&E level care). They then accompanied her by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital. She was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Steve Hunwicks.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew was also in attendance.
