At 11:07am this morning (3rd) Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldane and Paramedic Dan Read landed in Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a woman who had sustained a serious leg injury during a fall.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 70’s) who had sustained badly broken bones and sedated her at the scene (providing her with A&E level care). The doctor-paramedic team then accompanied the woman to Peterborough City Hospital via land ambulance, where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Steve Hunwicks.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
