At 1.07pm this afternoon (11th), Magpas Doctor Dave Leverton and Paramedic Dan Cody landed in Peterborough via the air ambulance to treat a woman involved in a road traffic collision.

The Magpas team assessed the woman (in her 20s) who had sustained multiple injuries and was trapped inside the vehicle. The Magpas team provided her with advanced pain relief (providing advanced A&E level care at the scene) and anti-sickness medication, so that she could be safely extracted. The patient was then taken by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital, where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The Helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Steve Hunwicks.

EEAST Ambulance Service, Cambridgeshire Police, and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
