Peterborough, woman injured by horse – Magpas Helimedix called to scene
At 6.30pm last night (11th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Vijayasankar and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived near Peterborough via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – following an incident where a woman (in her 60’s) was kicked by a horse.
The Helimedix worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew to assess the patient, who had suffered injuries to her head and neck. The Magpas team then anaesthetised the woman (providing specialist A&E care at the scene) before they accompanied her to Peterborough City Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition, with the Magpas team then accompanying her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further care.
The Magpas team would like to thank the EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew for their exceptional team work.
