Peterborough woman goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix called to her
At 2:05pm on 16th Feb, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nathan Howes and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived in a residential area near Yaxley via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after a woman (in her 60’s) went into cardiac arrest.
Two EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews initially provided advanced life support for the patient. The Magpas team then anaesthetised the woman (providing her with specialist A&E care), before accompanying her to Papworth Hospital in a land ambulance (monitoring her condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
There was excellent team work between all the Emergency Services.
