Peterborough, woman goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to her
At 12.44pm on Friday 20th, Magpas Doctor Lee Soomaroo and Magpas Paramedic Chris Hawkins landed in grassed area within a housing estate in Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after a woman (in her 60’s) went into cardiac arrest.
EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews provided life support and successfully resuscitated the patient, before the Magpas Doctor and Paramedic anaesthetised the woman (providing her with critical A&E level care there and then). The Magpas team then accompanied the patient to Peterborough City Hospital by land ambulance, where on arrival the woman was in a serious condition.
The Magpas Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Andy Figg and Crew Member Andy Craigie.
