Peterborough serious car collision – Magpas Helimedix called out

At 12:23am, in the early hours of this morning, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott and Paramedic Ash Richardson) arrived in central Peterborough, via the Magpas Helimedix Rapid Response BMW – after a car left the road and collided with a lamp post and tree.

An EEAST Ambulance Crew safely removed a man (in his 30’s) from the car and the Magpas team assessed him. Having suffered rib injuries, this patient was taken to Peterborough City Hospital in a Land Ambulance (in a stable condition).

The Helimedix also worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew to provide advanced life support for a woman. Sadly, despite all their best efforts, the patient was pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.

Anyone with additional information about this incident, please contact Cambridgeshire Police on 101. Thank you.
