At 8.55pm last night (3rd) Magpas Doctor Mark Tehan and Paramedic Dan Read arrived in Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They were called to a multi-vehicle collision which involved six casualties.

The Magpas enhanced medical team worked alongside East Anglian Air Ambulance and an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew to assess all the patients. The Magpas Doctor and Paramedic team proceeded to treat a girl (in her teens) who had suffered a severe leg injury. They sedated her at the scene (providing her with A&E level care) before accompanying her to Peterborough City Hospital. Her condition was monitored all the way and she was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival.

Cambridgeshire Police and the Fire and Rescue service were also in attendance.
