Peterborough industrial digger incident – Magpas Helimedix fly to man
Earlier this afternoon, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott and Paramedic Dan Cody) flew to the north of Peterborough via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance, arriving at 12:15pm – after a collision between a man (in his 50’s) and an industrial digger bucket.
The Magpas team assessed the patient, who suffered a significant injury to his hand. The Helimedix gave the man pain relief and enhanced care, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew at the scene. The patient was then taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance, in a stable condition, for further observation.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.
All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
