Peterborough car rolls several times – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 11:48am this morning (26th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott and Paramedic Mark Glover) arrived in Peterborough near the Elton area, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A car had collided with a hedge and a road sign, before rolling several times and landing upside down on its roof.
The Magpas team assessed a man (in his 40’s) who suffered serious back injuries. The Helimedix administered pain relief and kept the patient warm, before working alongside EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews, a Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service Crew and the Police to get the man safely out of the car.
The Magpas team then accompanied the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance, where on arrival he was in a stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Simon Amos.
