Nr Whittlesey, man in agricultural incident – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to him
At 4.37pm yesterday (14th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Zoe Smeed and Paramedic Dan Cody) arrived near Whittlesey via the Magpas Air Ambulance, following an agricultural incident where a man’s arm got trapped in machinery.
The Magpas team assessed the man (in his late teens) and provided him with advanced pain relief. The Helimedix then flew the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where on arrival he was in a serious but stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene/ the Helimedix and the patient to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Simon Amos.
