Nr Wellingborough, racing driver injured in collision – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 12.54pm this afternoon (28th), Magpas Doctor Leigh Bissett and Paramedic Ollie Robinson landed near Wellingborough, via the Magpas air ambulance, to treat a racing driver injured in a high speed collision.

The Magpas medical team assessed the man (in his 50s), who had sustained serious chest and abdominal injuries. The patient was given pain relief and IV fluids before being flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He was in a stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Steve Hunwicks.
