Nr Thrapston, car and mobility scooter collision – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 5.40pm on Saturday (27th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived near Thrapston via the Magpas Air Ambulance – following a road traffic incident involving a car and a mobility scooter.
The Helimedix assessed a female patient (in her 80’s) who had suffered injuries to her leg and head. The Magpas team provided the woman with pain relief, before flying her to University Hospital Coventry. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene/the Helimedix and the patient to hospital was: Pilot Andy Figg and Crew Member Simon Standen.
The Police, Fire and Rescue Services and an East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew were also on the scene.
