At 4.14pm yesterday afternoon (5th) Magpas Doctor Rosie Dwyer and Paramedic Dan Cody, alongside Doctor Tristan Dyer landed in a rural location north-east of Sutton via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a woman who had been injured in a fall from a horse.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 40’s) who had sustained an arm injury. They gave the woman advanced pain relief and splinted her injuries at the scene (providing the patient with A&E level care). They then airlifted her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
