Nr Stevenage, tree surgeon injured in fall from height – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 11.35am this morning (8th), Magpas Doctor Drew Welch and Paramedic Alex Pearce landed at a rural area along the A602 south of Stevenage, via the Magpas Air Ambulance, to treat a tree surgeon who had fallen from 30 feet.

The Magpas team assessed a man (in his 30s) who had sustained chest injuries. They provided him with pain relief and put measures in place to protect his injuries.

He was then flown via the air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Rob Davies.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
