Nr Stamford, single car collision – Magpas called to scene

At 5.40pm yesterday (6th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Leigh Bissett and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived just off the A1 near Stamford via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW, following a road traffic incident involving a car which left the road and ended up in a ditch.

The Helimedix assessed a man (in his 50’s) who had suffered multiple injuries. The Magpas team anaesthetised the patient (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before accompanying him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the man was in a serious condition.

A crew from Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews, the Police, and Fire and Rescue Services were also on the scene.

This is all the information we have.
