At 3.14am this morning (22nd) Magpas Doctor Scott Knapp and Paramedic Chris Hawkins arrived in a rural location, south east of St Ives, via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man injured in a single vehicle incident.
The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the man (in his 30’s) who had sustained head injuries. They administered the patient with a general anaesthetic, providing him with A&E level care at the scene, before accompanying the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. The patient was in a stable condition upon arrival.
An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
