Nr St Ives, man goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to him
At 1.42pm yesterday (23rd), Magpas Doctor Andy Lindsay, Doctor Simon Lewis and Paramedic Dan Cody landed to the north of St Ives via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 70’s) had gone into cardiac arrest.
When the Magpas team arrived, bystanders were already performing CPR on the man. The Magpas Doctors and Paramedic then anaesthetised the patient (providing him with specialist A&E level care), before flying him to Lister Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a critical condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Magpas Doctors and Paramedic to the scene/ the patient and Magpas team to the hospital was: Pilot Matt Tacon and Crew Member Lee Kennedy.
