Nr Rugby, car vs tree – Magpas called to scene
At 11.05pm last night (7th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Zoe Smeed and Paramedic Alex Pearce) arrived to the east of Rugby via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW, following a road traffic incident where a car collided with a tree, leaving a man (in his 30’s) trapped inside the vehicle.
The Helimedix assessed the patient who had suffered arm and leg injuries. The Magpas team sedated the man (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before working alongside Fire and Rescue Services to safely remove him from the car. The Helimedix then accompanied the patient to University Hospital Coventry by land ambulance, where on arrival he was in a stable condition.
East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews were also on the scene.
