Nr Milton Keynes, car vs house – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 3:05pm this afternoon (5th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived north west of Milton Keynes via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a car collided with a nearby house.

The Helimedix assessed a woman (in her 70’s) who suffered broken legs and was trapped inside the vehicle. The Magpas team worked alongside a Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service Crew and an EMAS Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew to move the patient safely out of the car and into the back of a land ambulance. The Helimedix sedated the woman (providing her with A&E specialist care), before straightening and splinting her injuries and then flying her to Coventry Major Trauma Centre. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene / the patient and the Helimedix to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Adam Bright.

The Police were also present.

This is all the information we have.
