Nr Melbourn, woman goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix fly to her

At 12.09pm today (3rd) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Raluca Ionescu and Paramedic Paul Sallis) arrived in the Melbourn area via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after a woman (in her 40’s) went into a cardiac arrest.

When the Helimedix arrived, EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews had resuscitated the patient. The Magpas team then anaesthetised the woman (providing specialist A&E care at the scene) before accompanying her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a critical condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Simon Standen.
