Nr Horncastle, car rolls into ditch – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene
At 1.50pm on Friday (4th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Zoe Smeed and Paramedic Jo Lambert) arrived to the south of Horncastle via the Magpas Air Ambulance – following a road traffic incident where a car had left the road and rolled into a ditch, ending up on its roof.
The Magpas team assessed a woman (in her 50’s) who had suffered injuries to her upper body. The Magpas Doctor and Paramedic then provided the patient with pain relief. The woman was subsequently taken to Lincoln Hospital, in a stable condition, by an East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.
Fire and Rescue Services, and the Police were also present.
