Nr Fordham, woman in agricultural incident – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to her
At 1:53pm this afternoon (Saturday 24th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Raluca Ionescu and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) landed in a field, in the Fordham area, via the Magpas Air Ambulance. A woman (in her 50’s) had suffered leg injuries after her legs were caught in an industrial grass cutter.
The Magpas team sedated the patient and put measures into place to protect her injuries (providing the woman with enhanced A&E level care at the scene). The Magpas Doctor and Paramedic then accompanied the patient in a land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where on arrival she was in a stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Magpas Pilot Dan Vickers and Magpas Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew was also present.
This is all the information we have.
