Nr Ely, road traffic incident – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 12.20pm today (16th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott, Paramedic Paul Sallis and Paramedic Mark Glover) arrived near Ely via the Magpas Air Ambulance – following a road traffic collision involving a bicycle and a lorry.

The Helimedix assessed a male patient (in his 40’s) who had suffered multiple body injuries. The Magpas team provided the man with enhanced pain relief, before accompanying him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Simon Amos.

An EEAST Crew and the Police were also on the scene.
