Nr Earith, man injured in farming incident – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

At 5:03pm yesterday evening (10th) Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldane, Paramedic Steve Chambers and Doctor Anne Booth landed in a rural location near Earith via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in an incident involving farming machinery.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 30’s) who had sustained a serious leg injury. They administered advanced pain relief at the scene (providing him with A&E level care), before airlifting him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
